OVERVIEW
The Yokohama Geolandar X-CV G057 (OE) is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some touring sizes available. This specific tire is marked with OE as it is the original equipment tire of select vehicles.
The tire upgrades the dry, wet and winter weather traction by utilizing its all weather compound and optimal asymmetric tread design. The tread's detailed siping pattern increases the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the compound's silica elements keeps the tire pliable in various temperatures. The tread's four wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. As a result, the tire greatly upgrades its year round driving safety.
The tread design's constant surface contact upgrades its controllability. The asymmetric ribbed pattern maintains the tire's contact with the road surface throughout the drive, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The tire's steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structural stability is maintained during the drive. The heat-resistant silica compound and the wider footprint's ideal pressure distribution work together to enhance the high speed performing ability. The compound's silica elements prevent heat build-up, while the widened surface contact area eases the high speed driving pressure off the tire. This combination reinforces the tire and enables its excellent high speed performing ability.
The tread design also features a special five-pitch variable sequence, which helps lower the road and tread pattern noise heard in the vehicle's cabin. While the tires are in motion, this variable pitch sequence generates a special sound frequency, which cancels out the road and tread pattern noise. This minimizes the road noise levels heard in the vehicle's cabin during the drive. In this manner, road disturbances are unable to ruin the passengers' driving enjoyment, which guarantees a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The Geolandar X-CV G057 (OE) improves the tread life and usability. The silica compound and the widened surface contact area enhance the tread life length. The silica elements of the compound slow the tread wear rate down, preventing accelerated wear formations across the tread area. The asymmetric tread's enlarged footprint, on the other hand, allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tire's footprint. This actively prevents irregular wear formations, which greatly upgrades the model's usability significantly.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
