OVERVIEW

The Yokohama AVID GT S35 (TO) is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model is the original equipment tire of select Toyota vehicles.

The tread pattern upgrades the controllability. The tread's continuous center rib upgrades the surface contact while the tires are in motion, boosting the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the tire becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. The detailed tread pattern's optimized elements also enhance the cornering and braking abilities. The shoulder block placement heightens the number of biting edges to upgrade the cornering ability. On the other hand, the detailed siping and groove placement creates friction between the tire and the road surface to shorten the braking distance. This guarantees the driver's constant control over the vehicle.

Exceptional all weather traction is provided by the all season compound and the detailed tread pattern. The tire's tread elements offer additional biting edges to firmly grip onto the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather conditions. The tire compound's durable elements maintain their rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, from the heat of summer to colder winter weather conditions. The tread's circumferential and lateral grooves manage to improve the tire's hydroplaning resistance. They disperse water and slush from the footprint, preventing them from blocking the tire's surface contact in wet weather situations. The result is a stronger and safer wet traction and performing ability.

The AVID GT S35 (TO) boosts the comfort levels as well. The detailed tread design manages to maintain a close surface contact at all times. In this manner, the tire is able to absorb the shock of driving during its performance. This resists road disturbances from being felt in the vehicle's cabin. The tread design's closed shoulder pattern prevents airwaves from entering the footprint, while the circumferential grooves channel the airwaves through the footprint. This avoids their contact with the tread elements, which prevents road and tread pattern noise from being created while the tires are in motion. As a result, the tire promotes a quiet and comfortable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
