OVERVIEW

The Uniroyal RD2 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. It is made to be mounted on drive axle positions.

The ribbed tread design utilizes wide blocks to increase traction on highway terrains. They maintain close road contact, which enhances steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering response time becomes faster and more precise to the driver's commands. The structure is stabilized against driving pressure. The large elements enhance the cornering and braking abilities. As a result, these elements improve overall controllability and maneuvering, which boosts the driver's full control over the vehicle.

Great all season performance is promoted with this tread design and the all season compound. This tread manages to keep road contact in all conditions, while the all season compound maintains flexibility throughout the year. This combination significantly upgrades dry, wet, and winter-weather traction. On the other hand, wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning, by eliminating water and slush from the footprint. This offers a safe year-round drive.

The strengthened internal structure and the rubber compound work together to upgrade load and driving durability. They keep the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure and do not allow it to deform during the performance. This improves the load-carrying capacity and handling power, making this model perfect for heavy-duty performance.

The Uniroyal RD2 extends its service life. The ideal tread design and the wear-resistant compound avoid irregular and premature wear formations. In this manner, the tread pattern evenly distributes driving pressure along the tread area, while the compound slows the treadwear rate down. This combination offers a longer-lasting tread life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
