OVERVIEW
The Transeagle TE898 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
The optimal tread design, with detailed siping placement, and the all season compound work together to ensure exceptional grip in dry, wet, and light winter conditions. The tread design's siping placement increases the number of biting edges on the road, boosting the surface traction. At the same time, the all season compound ensures the rubber stays flexible in changing temperatures throughout the year. Thanks to the ideal groove placement, hydroplaning is also avoided in wet weather conditions.
The symmetric tread design closely follows the road throughout its performance. Because of this, the model can increase steering responsiveness and driving stability to prevent trailer swaying. The steering becomes faster and more precise in response to the towing vehicle's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. Cornering and maneuvering are also upgraded.
The Transeagle TE898's strengthened structure and durable compound upgrade the load durability. The structure does not allow the tire to deform under load and towing pressure, directly affecting its ability to securely carry and withstand larger loads. The result is a strong load capacity.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
