OVERVIEW
The Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 is a performance and high performance, winter tire made for SUVs and passenger vehicles. It has some touring sizes available as well.
The tread design’s surface contact upgrades the controllability. The tire manages to increase its road contact with the directional footprint. It boosts steering responsiveness and driving stability, while also increasing its maneuvering capabilities. Better steering responses and accuracy are promoted, as well as excellent structural stability. Cornering and braking further improve driving safety levels.
Low rolling-resistance tires provide better fuel economy. This is achieved as the tire manages to lower its rolling resistance. This is the pressure determining the vehicle’s necessary fuel usage in order to maintain motion. By lessening the rolling resistance the tire helps to decrease fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, leading to a fuel-conscious performance.
High speed durability is ensured with this tire. The model’s internal structure features a stronger construction, which greatly increases the high speed durability. This maintains the ideal tire shape under high speed driving pressure. The compound blend also offers heat resilience. In this manner, the tire is able to securely perform at its greatest high speed capability, as the ideal shape does not deform and the tire is protected against pressure and heat. As a result, the tire provides safe driving durability.
Longer-lasting tread life is guaranteed with this tire. The ideal tread design works with the durable compound to effectively provide slow and even wear. Footprint stability maintains surface contact and helps prevent tread flexing. As a result, the tire avoids irregular wear by preventing pressure accumulation along the tread area. On the other hand, strong compound elements offer wear resistance, decreasing the treadwear rate. The combination greatly boosts the tire’s overall tread life length.
The optimized pattern and the winter compound increase the tire’s winter traction. The detailed tread design and the winter compound work together to increase its dry and wet weather, ice, and snow grip. This combination enables the tire to significantly optimize its ideal tread design. The tread elements offer extra biting edges, while the compound keeps its rubber flexible. The tire actively avoids hydroplaning, thanks to the optimal groove placement. This enables the tire’s secure winter performance.
The Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 provides a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The tread block placement enables the tire to channel airwaves through the footprint, without allowing their contact with the tread elements. In this manner, the tread elements do not generate sound waves, which guarantees a comfortable drive. Additionally, the tire sports the Pirelli Noise Canceling System, which contributes to a quieter drive. As road disturbances do not ruin the passenger’s driving enjoyment, the model is able to promote a quiet performance.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
