OVERVIEW

The Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Run Flat is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for SUVs.

The tire was made with reinforced sidewalls that are capable of supporting the weight of the vehicle and the passengers temporarily after the loss of air pressure. In case of a puncture or similar damage, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles at up to the speed of 50 mph, which allows the driver to safely arrive at a destination where they can change or repair the tire. Run flat tires are made with a heavier construction than regular tires, due to this they cannot be mounted on the same vehicle. Run flat models are usually made for vehicles without space for a spare tire.

The silica-enhanced tire compound and the tread pattern's specially placed siping detail improve the all weather traction. The tread design firmly grips the road in dry, wet, and winter weather thanks to the siping detail. The specially placed circumferential and lateral groove boosts the model's water evacuating ability, which enhances the wet weather traction and prevents hydroplaning situations completely. The all weather traction ensures exceptional year-round driving security.

The tread pattern features a rigid shoulder tread block sequence. This maintains constant road contact, upgrading the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The constant contact between the tire and the road stabilizes it to ensure that the driving pressure does not affect it. The steering becomes quicker and more precise in its response to the driver's instructions in all weather. The better steering and stability improve the tire's handling and controllability as well.

The Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Run Flat's special tread pattern promotes an even distribution of the driving forces across the tread area. This ensures a longer-lasting tread life and offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The evenly distributed driving force channels the soundwaves through the tire footprint without focusing on one area, which reduces the road noise in the vehicle's cabin. This also prevents irregular wear patterns from forming across the tread area, extending the tire's usability and tread life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
