OVERVIEW

The Otani KC1000 is a high performance, summer tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The asymmetric tread design and the special silica compound improve the tire's performance. They keep constant surface contact for better controllability and stability. In other words, these elements firmly grip the surface with additional biting edges and upgrade the tire's steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering response time is quicker and more precise to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. Cornering and braking are upgraded as well. The wide shoulder blocks and their close road contact boosts maneuvering, while the special siping details shorten the braking distance by creating friction. These elements guarantee a safe driving experience.

The model upgrades its summer traction. The asymmetric tread pattern and the summer compound enhance the tire's dry and wet-weather grip. In this manner, the asymmetric tread pattern closely follows the road surface at all times, while the summer compound prevents heat build-up along the tread area in warmer temperatures. On the other hand, circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water from the footprint on wet roads. These grooves resist hydroplaning and guarantee the tire's secured performance in the summer season.

Excellent high speed performance is ensured. The robust structure and the special silica compound improve the tire's driving durability. In other words, the ideal tread design maintains constant surface contact during the performance, while the special silica compound prevents heat accumulation along the tread area. At the same time, the strengthened internal structure keeps the ideal tire shape under driving pressure. This combination enables the tire to perform at its best high speed capability.

The Otani KC1000 offers a quiet driving experience. The ideal tread design and the durable rubber compound reduce road and tread noise levels heard in the vehicle's cabin. The footprint channel airwaves away, preventing them from coming into contact with the tread elements and generating noise. This tread allows the passengers to enjoy a quiet and comfortable performance.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
