OVERVIEW

The Otani EK1000 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Otani offers a 50,000 mile warranty with this tire model.

The tire provides great all weather traction. The tread design enhances the dry, wet and winter weather traction as the dual zone pattern and the siping detail manage to firmly grip the road surface at all times. The maintained road contact also manages to decrease the possibility of hydroplaning as the wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The constant contact guarantees a safer driving experience in all conditions and promotes a safer driving experience.

The tread design boosts the tire's controllability. The continuous solid center rib features slight siping detail and it keeps its contact with the road surface at all times, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes quicker and more accurate in its response to the driver's commands, while the tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The tread pattern's shoulder tread blocks upgrade the cornering ability and power by boosting the number of biting edges in all weather. The result is a more responsive and stable performance, even at high speeds.

The EK1000 offers a quiet and comfortable drive. The special tire compound absorbs the driving shock while the tires are in motion. This manages to lower the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin. The tread design's low noise groove design reduces the road noise levels felt during the drive. The groove prevents airwaves from entering the footprint and coming into contact with the tread elements, which manages to lower the road noise levels heard by the passengers. The combination of the lesser road vibrations and noise ensures a comfortable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
