OVERVIEW
The Michelin Latitude Tour HP (N1) is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and passenger vehicles. This model also has some touring sizes. This tire is designed for the front axle position.
The tire is easily controlled in all weather conditions. The internal structure's FAZ, or Filament At Zero Technology, is located between the steel belts and the tread rubber and it ensures constant road contact. The better road contact increases the tire's steering responsiveness and accuracy and offers a quick and precise response to the driver's instructions. The tread pattern's wide groove design stabilizes the tire by providing tread rigidity. As the tread elements do not shift about, they stabilize the tire against the driving pressure. The enhanced steering responsiveness and driving stability make the tire effortless to handle.
The lower overall tire weight is the result of the Green X technology. The lessened weight eases the driving pressure off of the tire, which reduces its rolling resistance. The gravity of the rolling resistance determines how much fuel the vehicle uses up to maintain the tire's motion. The 2D Active Sipes of the tread pattern increase the all weather traction. They provide additional biting edges that grip onto the road in dry, wet and winter weather. This siping detail especially increases the wet and winter weather traction as it firmly grips the road in all weather conditions. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. This ensures excellent year round driving safety.
The Latitude Tour HP (N1) is noted with 'N1' as it is the second approved tire of tis model to be selected as the original equipment tire of select Porsche vehicles. The model went through numerous tests to be authorized by Porsche for use on their vehicles. It was manufactured to guarantee safety and reliability during high speed driving performance and it's guaranteed to bring out the highest performing capability of the vehicle.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
