OVERVIEW

The Mastercraft AST is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire provides first-rate all weather traction and road gripping ability. The symmetric tread pattern design and silica-based tire compound work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping capability. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves actively resist hydroplaning situations by dispersing water and slush from below the tire footprint. The all weather road grip and excellent hydroplaning prevention ensure a more secure year round driving experience.

The model is easily controlled. The maintained road contact of the symmetric tread design guarantees the tire's superb handling. The tread design's continuous center rib increases the steering responsiveness and accuracy and the driving stability. The steering is quick and precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the tire is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The shoulder tread block sequence offers additional biting edges in all weather. The better road grip boosts the tire's cornering and maneuvering capability and power, promoting a safe drive and enhanced controllability.

The tire has a longer lasting tread life and controllability. The symmetric tread design evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread surface. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lowers the possibility of uneven wear patterns forming across the tire. The increased even wear guarantees an extended tire usability, making the tire more cost efficient.

The AST offers a comfortable driving experience. The evenly distributed driving pressure and exceptional traction guarantee a more comfortable and enjoyable drive as they maintain constant road contact. The enhanced road contact prevents road vibrations from disturbing the comfort of the vehicle's passengers.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
