OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac (OE) is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. This is an OE as it is the original equipment of select vehicles.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The aggressive looking tread design and the rugged tire compound enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability greatly. The tread design manages to firmly grip the road surface, while the compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures. Some sizes of this model are severe winter weather rated. The wide grooves and open shoulders effectively evacuate water and slush from the footprint to resist hydroplaning, while the staggered tread blocks manage to eliminate snow stuck in the tread grooves, preventing the tire from being blocked from its contact with the road and terrain surface. The combination of these enhancements ensures a safer driving experience all year round.

The tread design and stronger tire compound also increase the tire's off-road performing ability. They improve the tire's grip on soft, loose and uneven terrains and allows the model to perform to its utmost capability both on- and off-road. The open shoulder design, large staggered tread blocks and the deep grooves ensure excellent road grip on all off-road terrains and guarantee a secure off-road performance. The tread design is also able to maintain a clean footprint by eliminating mud and ejecting rocks stuck between the tread elements. This also actively resists stone retention which can harm the tire's casing. The better safety and traction promote a secure off-road driving experience.

The model offers exceptional driving safety. The tire compound is extremely resistant to damages. It prevents chipping, tearing and cracking throughout the tire's life, while also avoiding punctures and other off-road damage which can harm the tire. The sidewalls feature a rim lock, which enhances the safety as well. The rim lock avoids wheel slip, which can throw the vehicle off course, making the drive dangerous. It also guards and protects the rims from accidental curb and off-road damage that can damage it. The stronger compound and rim lock ensure a safer drive in all weather and on all terrain conditions.

The Wrangler DuraTrac (OE) provides good handling. The tread block placement enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability with the tire's better road contact.
