OVERVIEW

The Goodyear WinterCommand is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles, and SUVs.

The tire's tread design and winter-focused compound work together to increase the winter weather gripping power. The directional tread design with the high-density siping pattern enhances the number of biting edges gripping the road surface during the tire's performance. These sipes boost the ice and snow traction and ensure the tire's forward motion at all times. The tire is also pinned for studs, which can be added to the tread area to further increase its ice and snow grip. The winter compound keeps the rubber flexibility in versatile weather conditions, enabling the tire's secure winter weather performance. The tread's wide circumferential and lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This combination ensures the tire's exceptional winter weather performing safety.

The tread design's directional pattern and flat footprint improve the tire's road surface contact. This enables the tire to upgrade the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The better road contact allows the tire to boost the steering responsiveness and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The shoulder tread block placement boosts the cornering and maneuvering ability and power. The shoulder blocks enhance the cornering and maneuvering ability with additional biting edges. In this manner, the tire ensures the driver's full control over the vehicle in winter weather.

The WinterCommand features reinforced internal structure. The steel belt and polyester casing construction helps maintain the ideal tire shape under the driving and load pressure. It prevents the tire's deformation under the pressure, which improves the load carrying and withstanding ability and power. This significantly enhances the tire's load capacity. The polyester casing also provides a comfortable driving experience. It ensures the tire's close surface contact at all times, which enables the model to absorb the shock of driving. In this manner, the road vibrations are not created and the road disturbances are not felt in the vehicle's cabin by the passengers while the tires are in motion, which guarantees a comfortable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
