OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Assurance DuraPlus 2 is a touring, summer tire made for passenger vehicles.

The model increases summer weather traction. The symmetric tread design and the summer compound work together to improve the tire's dry and wet weather grip. The summer compound is designed to keep the tire's rubber flexible in different temperatures. The four wide grooves on the tread pattern help prevent hydroplaning, by channeling water away from the footprint.

The optimized tire footprint and special tire compound increase the tread life. The tread pattern design, with the rubber's carbon black additives, irregular wear across the tire. As a result, this special tread design strengthens the tire and wear resistance to provide high touring performance. The Tread Life Technology makes the tire usable for long periods of time and it increases the tread wear length.

This model is designed with special layers in the sidewall to prevent outside damage. The special fiber sidewall compound avoids punctures and pothole damage and increases the tire's durability and stability. This sidewall construction boosts the long term resistance against the external influences.

The Assurance DuraPlus 2 is made for quiet and smooth riding. This model offers reduced road noise inside the vehicle's cabin. The symmetrical tread design and the extra rubber stripe between plies, lowers the vibration. This model offers a quieter and more comfortable drive, guaranteeing a silent driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
