Duramas DT-588

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

• Enhanced controllability
• Upgraded load durability
• Longer-lasting tread life
• All season performance

OVERVIEW

The Duramas DT-588 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model is built to be mounted on all axle positions.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. This exceptional performance is guaranteed with the combination of the tread design and the all season compound. Dry, wet, and winter grip is ensured. The sipes along the tread generate biting edges, which boost traction. On the other hand, the compound keeps the tire pliable in various temperatures. Grooves prevent hydroplaning as they help guide water and slush through the footprint, further increasing the tire's wet grip.

The model offers great load and driving durability. The robust structural elements enable the tire to effectively upgrade its overall load-handling power. They make sure the tire does not deform under load and driving pressure. Since the tire maintains its ideal shape, it is able to upgrade the tire's load capacity. This improved load durability is perfectly designed for heavy-duty applications.

The tread design upgrades the controllability. Exceptional surface contact is provided with the ribbed footprint. This significantly boosts the tire's overall steering responsiveness and driving stability. It promotes quick and precise steering responses, while the structure is stabilized. Cornering and maneuvering are also enhanced with the optimal tread elements, resulting in a safer driving experience.

The Duramas DT-588's tread area and compound blend boost its usability. The ideal tread pattern and the wear-resistant compound prevent irregular and premature wear formations. In this manner, the optimized tread pattern evenly distributes driving pressure along the tread area, while the special silica compound slows down the treadwear rate. This decreased and even wear leads to longer-lasting tread life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
