OVERVIEW
The Continental CrossContact RX (OE) is a touring, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and passenger vehicles. This model has some high performance sizes as well. This is an OE as it is the original equipment of select vehicles. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.
The tire utilizes its ContiSilent technology and special tread design to offer a noise-free driving experience. This tread pattern maintains consistent road contact, which enables the tire to absorb the road noise and prevent it from reaching the vehicle's cabin. The ContiSilent technology utilizes a layer of special foam that absorbs the sound waves while tires are in motion. As road disturbances are avoided, the passengers are able to enjoy a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The ribbed tread pattern closely follows the driving surface, enhancing the handling dynamics and driving stability of the vehicle all the time. The tire responds faster and more precisely to the driver's instructions, while its structure is secured against the driving pressure. The Continental CrossContact RX (OE) offers a phenomenal year-round performance thanks to its durable compound materials and ideal ribbed tread. The high number of biting edges firmly grip the driving surface and allow the tire to perform well on dry, wet, and snow-covered roads. The tire is able to perform safely and at high speeds while preventing heat build-up across the tread area. The circumferential and lateral grooves eject water and slush from the footprint, maximizing the surface contact and avoiding the risk of hydroplaning.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
