OVERVIEW

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport (MGT) is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This specific tire is marked with MGT as it is the original equipment of Maserati vehicles. This tire is designed for the front axle position.

Exceptional summer weather traction is guaranteed. The special, ultra-high summer compound and the asymmetric, ribbed tread design upgrade the tire's dry and wet weather grip. Heat build-up is avoided as the silica elements of the compound keep the tire cool during its performance. On the other hand, a better road-to-rubber ratio optimizes the model's surface grip, providing the necessary traction. Circumferential grooves disperse water from below the footprint, preventing it from cutting off the road contact. As a result, hydroplaning is effectively avoided.

The ribbed tread design allows for the tire's longer-lasting tread life. It was designed with the 3D sipe technology that ensures footprint stability. In this manner, tread flexing is effectively prevented. As unnecessary pressure is not placed onto the tire, the footprint is able to provide even pressure circulation. This avoids irregular and premature wear, boosting the service life.

The specially designed footprint also improves surface contact. In this manner, the tire is able to significantly enhance the tire's controllability. The road contact improves the tire's steering responsiveness and driving stability, guaranteeing the driver's consistent control over the vehicle. Additionally, the road contact works with the heat-resistant compound and stronger structure to enable the tires' high speed durability. They make sure the tire can securely perform at its utmost high speed capabilities.

The Potenza Sport (MGT) features tuned tread sequencing. This helps lower road noise levels heard by the passengers, as it manages to negate most sound waves before they reach the vehicle's cabin. As a result, the tire promotes a quiet driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
