OVERVIEW

The Atlander AX-88 is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Atlander offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

This model provides great high speed durability. The tire is able to enhance the high speed safety by combining the durable compound and the stronger internal structure. As a result, the heat-resistant compound elements minimize the pressure on the tread area, preventing heat build-up. The reinforced construction allows the tire to maintain the ideal tire shape under the high speed pressure, which helps to improve the overall high speed performance.

Better controllability is ensured with the versatile tread elements. The asymmetric ribbed tread design's surface contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability, guaranteeing the driver better control over the vehicle at all times. The tire's shoulder blocks feature more rubber, which helps to enhance the cornering capability by providing additional biting edges. Braking distance is shortened as the asymmetric ribbed pattern generates friction at the moment of braking. The combination of these enhancements greatly boosts the model's overall driving safety.

The AX-88 manages to boost its summer performance. It utilizes the summer compound and the detailed asymmetric tread design in order to enhance the dry and wet traction. Durable compound elements allow the tire to improve the rubber flexibility in summer conditions. The tread's siping placement provides a higher number of biting edges, optimizing the surface grip. Circumferential grooves force water out from below the footprint, preventing hydroplaning in the process and upgrading the wet traction.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
