OVERVIEW

The American Tourer Sport Touring A/S is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

All season traction is promoted with the tread design and the durable compound. This combination upgrades the dry, wet, and winter weather grip on the road surface. The stronger compound helps to maintain the rubber flexibility with the weather-resistant rubber materials. The detailed siping placement along the ribs upgrades the grip on the road surface with the use of extra biting edges, boosting the summer and winter weather performance. The four circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint, upgrading the wet weather traction.

The high speed controllability is ensured with the tread design's optimized elements. The three center ribs maintain the surface contact while the tires are in motion, which boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, a better steering response time and accuracy are guaranteed, as well as a stronger structural durability. The footprint's siping pattern generates friction at the moment of braking, shortening the braking distance too. The durable compound's heat-resistant compound and the ribbed tread design ease the pressure off the tire, preventing heat build-up along the tread area. This enables the tire to significantly upgrade the high speed durability.

The Sport Touring A/S offers a comfortable drive. The tread design's sipe pattern features a variable pitch pattern, which generates a sound-cancelling frequency during the drive. This frequency helps to negate the sound waves generated during the performance, preventing them from reaching the vehicle's cabin. As a result, the tread pattern negates the road noise heard by the passengers, decreasing the disturbances reaching the vehicle's cabin. This promotes a quiet driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
