OVERVIEW

The Yokohama Geolandar G055 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Yokohama offers a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire offers superb all weather road grip. The special tire compound and the tread elements increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The tire compound features orange oil and silica components that ensure the flexibility in all weather, including in colder temperatures. The optimized tread finds firm grip on the road surface with their additional biting edges, even in wet and winter situations. The wide zigzag circumferential grooves, the transition grooves and the notch sipes work together to prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced road grip and hydroplaning resistance ensure a secure driving experience.

The optimized tire compound increases the traction and with it lowers the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the force that determines the vehicle's energy usage which effects the tires during the drive. The reduced rolling resistance manages to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, guaranteeing a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly drive. The tire compound also manages to slow the tread wear rate down.
