OVERVIEW
The Yokohama AVID ENVigor ZPS is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire was made with Yokohama's Zero Pressure System (ZPS). This run flat technology reinforces the tire for it to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers after air pressure loss. In case of air pressure loss, the stronger structure enables the tire's limited temporary performance for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. This prevents the vehicle from being stranded on the side of the road once a damage occurs. Instead, the vehicle can be driven to a nearby location where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. This guarantees a safer driving experience.
The tread design and all season compound increase the all weather traction. The directional tread pattern with the detailed design improves the grip on the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather, while the compound keeps the rubber flexibility in various temperatures. The tread's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. In this manner, the tire increases the wet and slippery surface grip, enabling the tire's secure performance throughout the year.
The model increases the controllability. The directional tread pattern maintains the ideal surface contact in various conditions. This enables the model to increase the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The stronger construction features a twin steel belt and jointless nylon belt cover structure that keeps the ideal tire shape under the high speed pressure. This enables the tire to increase the high speed durability and allows the tire to securely perform at its greatest high speed capability.
The AVID ENVigor ZPS features a stronger internal structure. By maintaining the ideal tire shape, the model is able to closely follow the road surface, even during its high speed performance. In this manner, it absorbs the shock of driving while the tires are in motion. As a result, the tire minimizes the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin.
