OVERVIEW

The Yokohama 505C is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was designed for all axle positions.

The tire offers exceptional all weather traction. The footprint features wider blocks and ribs, along with a high-density sipe placement. This pattern was molded using a durable year-round compound blend, to improve its dry, wet, and winter traction. Better traction allows the tire to securely enhance its performance on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. Additionally, circumferential grooves manage to prevent hydroplaning in wet conditions. The combination of these elements enables the tire to significantly increase the model's performance, even in harsh winter conditions. The tire sports the 3PMS symbol.

Lengthening the tread life is also possible. The stable, wide footprint works with the anti-chip compound to achieve this. Excellent stability allows the tire to prevent tread flexing, enabling the tire to evenly circulate driving pressure across the tread area. This effectively avoids irregular wear formations. On the other hand, the reinforced compound blend decreases the treadwear rate. However, it also offers damage resistance, as it avoids the tread's chipping, cracking, and tearing while the tires are in motion. These elements help to enhance the tire's overall usability.

The Yokohama 505C offers better load durability as well. The tire features a high-strength belt structure that maintains the ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. Since the tire maintains the ideal tire shape, it is able to effectively improve its overall load capacity. Furthermore, the funnel-shaped step grooves also work with the structure to combat damage. Stone retention prevention and casing damage are also effectively avoided. This offers a safer driving experience.
