- Fuel-efficient performance
- Longer-lasting tread life
- All season traction
OVERVIEW
The Turnpike D660 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. It is built to be mounted on drive axle positions.
The ideal tread design manages to improve the tire’s controllability. The ribbed center tread area maintains surface contact, boosting steering responsiveness and driving stability. On the other hand, the shoulder details provide additional biting edges, which greatly improve the tire’s cornering. The groove and sipe placement create friction when braking, significantly shortening the tire’s stopping distance. These enhancements allow the tire’s secured handling and maneuvering at all times.
Low rolling-resistance tires provide better fuel economy. The special rubber compound lowers the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the external pressure affecting the tire, which determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The reduced rolling resistance eases the driving pressure of the tires, which decreases the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The tire ensures a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.
Better dry, wet, and winter grip is guaranteed with this model. The ideal tread pattern and the all season compound enhance the tire’s dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. In this manner, the optimized tread design closely follows the road at all times, while the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. Circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water and slush from the footprint, in order to resist hydroplaning.
The Turnpike D660 offers great usability with this tread design and the durable compound. Uneven and premature wear are prevented. The stronger compound and the stable tread help combat such wear patterns. In other words, the tread’s even pressure circulation resists irregular wear, while the compound reduces the treadwear rate as well. These improvements significantly increase the tire’s overall service life.
