OVERVIEW
The Supermax HD1-Plus is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. The model was made for the drive axle positions.
The model ensures exceptional dry, wet, and light winter performance on the highway. The increased road-to-rubber ratio boosts the tire’s dry traction. The wide grooves minimize the chance of hydroplaning. This is achieved with the circumferential grooves that channel water and slush from under the tire, securing wet traction. The sipes on the shoulder ribs and the central blocks give additional biting edges to grip snowy roads, improving light winter performance. The compound makes sure that the rubber stays operational and flexible throughout the year.
The model greatly resists tread deformation. This is due to its radial construction and all steel reinforcements that support the sidewalls. These elements make the tire stronger, allowing it to equally spread out pressure along the footprint. As such, the pressure accumulation is prevented, lessening the chance of flexing during the drive. This gives the tire its ability to easily handle greater loads and cargo without deforming.
The Supermax HD1-Plus offers a longer tread life. The shoulder ribs are solid and they stabilize the footprint and its road contact. This works well with the stronger construction in optimizing pressure and preserving the tire’s best shape. As a result, the tire delivers even and resist accelerated tread wear. The central knobs and the specific groove design clear the tread area of snow and rocks. This reduces the chance of stone retention and minimizes the possibility of tread damage, elongating the tire’s service life greatly.
