OVERVIEW
The Sumitomo Tour Plus LSV is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. It is the V speed rated version of the Tour Plus LS model. Sumitomo offers a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire ensures a long lasting tread life. The polymer-enhanced tire compound is wear-resistant, which slows the tread wear rate down, while the optimized tread design manages to maintain an even wear pattern. The optimized road contact of the five-rib asymmetric design evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking actively resist irregular tread wear formations across the tire's surface. The slower even wear greatly extends the tread life and the tire's usability.
The special tire compound and the asymmetric tread design work together to boost the all weather traction. The compound's polymer reinforcement maintains the tire's all weather flexibility, while the tread design firmly grips the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. The tread's wide circumferential and lateral grooves avoid hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's surface. The upgraded hydroplaning resistance and exceptional all weather traction result is a safer year round performance.
The maintained road contact of the five-ribbed tread pattern improves the model's all weather controllability. The internal structure keeps the tire's optimal shape, which enables it to be constantly in contact with the road surface, which enhances the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering is faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. The shoulder tread blocks also promote a safer maneuvering ability with the additional biting edges provided during cornering.
