OVERVIEW
The Sumitomo HTR Enhance L/X is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some high performance sizes as well. Sumitomo offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the W speed rated sizes, a 70,000 mile treadwear warranty with the H and V speed rated sizes and a 90,000 mile treadwear warranty with the T speed rated sizes of this model.
The special all season tire compound and asymmetric tread design work together to upgrade the all weather traction. The optimized tread elements are capable of finding good grip in dry, wet and winter weather, while the compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The wide circumferential and smaller lateral grooves manage to prevent hydroplaning by channeling water and slush away from the tire's footprint. The increased road traction and hydroplaning resistance guarantee a secure year round driving experience.
The tread pattern also manages to upgrade the tread life. The asymmetric tread design improves the tread life by evenly distributing the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking actively resist irregular tread wear formations. The prevention of uneven tread wear lengthens the tread life and the tire's usability, making the model more cost efficient.
The tire guarantees excellent controllability. The steering responsiveness and driving stability are ensured with the constant road contact of the tread design's notched center rib. It enhances the accuracy and the response time of the steering, while it also stabilizes the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it. The model's exceptional cornering ability is the result of its wider outer shoulder tread area. It manages to heighten the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface during cornering and maneuvering to ensure a secure performance.
The HTR Enhance L/X guarantees a comfortable driving experience. The road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin are reduced thanks to the polyester casing. This reinforced internal structure enables the tire to closely follow the road surface in all weather, decreasing the road vibrations which can be felt in the vehicle's cabin.
