OVERVIEW
The Sumitomo HTR Enhance C/X is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Sumitomo offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire promotes great all weather traction. The all season tire compound and the five-rib asymmetric tread pattern with the detailed siping design increases the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The tread design firmly grips the road surface while the tires are in motion, guaranteeing constant road contact, while the compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The four circumferential and smaller lateral grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning resistance and all weather traction ensure a secure year round performance.
The tread pattern's constant road contact upgrades its controllability. The notched center rib and the special interlocking tread blocks increase the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire during the drive. The outer shoulder tread design enhances the cornering and maneuvering.
