The Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 is a performance and high performance, depending on the speed rating of the specific tire size, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Sumitomo offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with the W speed rated models and a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with the H and V speed rated models. The HTS A/S P02 stands for High Tech Radial All Season Premium 2 Generation.
The tire ensures excellent all weather traction. The special all season silica-enhanced tire compound and the detailed asymmetric tread design improve the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The silica-infused compound keeps its flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread elements find good grip all year. The specially placed 3D sipes and the angled center tread slots increase the winter weather traction, especially when driving on snow and ice-covered road surfaces. The circumferential and high angle grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint.
