Samson GR-D2
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Improved load durability
- Longer-lasting tread life
- All weather traction
OVERVIEW
The Samson GR-D2 is a highway terrain, all weather tire made for commercial vehicles. It is designed to be mounted on drive axle positions.
All weather traction is offered with this model. The ideal tread design and the durable all weather compound enhance dry, wet, and winter-weather road grip. The optimized siping pattern and the ideally placed tread elements increase road grip with additional biting edges. The compound keeps its rubber flexible in various temperatures. As a result, the tire remains pliable from the heat of summer to colder winter conditions. Circumferential and angled lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from the footprint.
Extended service life is guaranteed with this model. The ideal tread pattern and the wear-resistant compound prevent irregular and premature wear formations. In this manner, the optimized tread pattern evenly distributes driving pressure along the tread area, while the special silica compound slows down the treadwear rate. This decreased and even wear leads to longer-lasting tread life.
The Samson GR-D2 ensures better structural durability with it’s exceptional load capacity. This tire features a robust structure that does not deform under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform, it is able to securely carry and withstand heavy loads. This optimizes the tire’s overall load durability, optimizing its heavy-duty applications.
All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
