The Samson GL266D is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's drive axle.
The tread design and all season compound improve the tread life. The solid shoulder ribs and the stabilized tread elements enable the tire's even pressure distribution along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids irregular wear formations across the tire's surface. The durable compound enhances the tread life as well. The wear-resistant rubber elements prevent premature wear. This combination enables the tire to improve the service life and the usability.
The tread pattern increases the controllability. The solid shoulder ribs maintain the surface contact throughout the drive, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
