OVERVIEW
The Prinx HiCountry R/T HR1 is a rugged terrain, all weather tire manufactured for light trucks. Prinx offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty.
The model has an aggressive tread design. The blocks use their biting edges for a stronger grip on hard, rugged, and uneven surfaces. This is boosted with two- and three-step blocks, which provide more biting edges, improving traction and stability on off-road terrains. To traverse soft and loose surfaces the tire uses lateral blocks, scalloped shoulders, the tread buttress, and the different aggressive elements on each of the upper sidewalls. These elements propel the model forward, lowering the possibility of getting stuck in mud. The notches on the central blocks, mud ejectors on the bottom of the lateral grooves, and the optimal grooves help eliminate snow, mud, and rocks from the tread. This self-cleaning ability upgrades its off-road performance.
The blocks place a larger rubber area on the road increasing dry road grip. The optimized grooves drain slush and water from underneath the tire, securing wet traction and reducing the chance of hydroplaning. The siped blocks create extra biting edges to strongly grip snow and ice, boosting winter driving. The special compound keeps the tire flexible, enhancing its overall performance in hot and cold temperatures.
The model sports improved damage resistance. The different aggressive elements on each upper sidewall offer protection against rocks and other off-road elements. The mud ejectors, the zigzag grooves, the open shoulders, and the notches on the central blocks give the tire the self-cleaning ability.
