OVERVIEW
The Power King Towmax STR II is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for trailers. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.
The tire offers an excellent all weather traction. The tire compound and the symmetric tread design firmly grip the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather road conditions. The tread features a notched center rib and interconnected middle ribs that keep the tire's road contact at all times, while the compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures. The tread's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning resistance and exceptional all weather traction guarantee a safer towing experience.
The special tread design also manages to improve the tread life and the tire's controllability. The ribbed pattern keeps the tire's road contact at all times, which boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the towing vehicle's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The constant road contact of the symmetric tread pattern equally spreads the driving pressure out across the tread area. The even distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lengthens the tread life and usability by preventing irregular tread wear forming on the tire's surface.
The model's internal structure features a full steel belt construction, that is further strengthened with a nylon cap ply in D and E load range tire sizes. The reinforced construction maintains the tire's optimal shape under the driving and load pressure. As a result, the tire does not deform under the driving pressure affecting the model and it increases its load carrying and withstanding capability. The structure also sports a polyester cord body that decreases the road vibrations while the tires are in motion. In this manner, the tire ensures a smooth drive throughout the year.
The Towmax STR II was manufactured with a low rolling resistance tire compound. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire, that determines the amount of energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tires in motion. This results in the towing vehicle's decreased fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the tire more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
