The Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero Serie II is a performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire guarantees first-rate winter weather traction. It has received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol for its ability to handle the harshest winter conditions. The tire compound is Pirelli's special Temperature Dynamic Compound that allows the tire to be driven in both fall and winter. It is only unable to handle hot temperature conditions. The tread design features a high density siping detail that boosts the model's road gripping ability on snow and ice-covered roads. The tread grooves actively resist hydroplaning by evacuating water and slush from below the tire's footprint and ensure a safer cold temperature driving experience.

The model is also easily controllable. The large number of sipes maintain road contact at all times which increases the steering responsiveness and the driving stability.
