OVERVIEW
The Pirelli P Zero (MO) is an ultra high performance summer tire for sport passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire is used as the original equipment tire for Mercedes-Benz vehicles as it was tested and approved by the vehicle manufacturer. It is marked with the MO rating, which means it is a Mercedes-Benz Original model. The tire brings out the maximum performance capabilities of these vehicles, offering the highest quality tire, in line with Mercedes-Benz standards.
This tire has superb summer traction and it grips the road well in dry and wet weather conditions. The tire is not suited for and should not be used in lower temperatures, such as winter weather, as it will not provide the same levels of safety as in summer weather conditions. The tire has an enhanced hydroplaning resistance as it disperses water from below the tire's footprint.
The tire compound's heightened silica levels provide better high speed steering precision and control and improves the tire's directional stability. The tire is easier to control at high speeds and it maintains its uniformity, meaning it does not deform, enhancing its performance capabilities. The compound also offers a shorter braking distance with this model and the special silica-infused compound provides remarkable road traction, making it safer to drive at high speeds.
The tire's reinforced sidewalls make the tire an extra load (XL) model. This means the tire can handle a little more weight than other passenger tires, but it is still not suited to carry heavy loads. This also improves the tire's high speed performance.
The P Zero (MO)'s S-shaped sipe tread design cancels out the road noise the tire makes while in motion, ensuring a smooth and quiet ride.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
