- Reduced road noise levels
OVERVIEW
The Pirelli Cinturato P1 Plus is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes exceptional summer weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the unique tire compound ensure first-rate dry and wet weather road gripping ability. However, the tire is not meant to be used in winter weather, as the tire compound loses its excellent flexibility in colder temperature conditions. The tread design's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning situations by actively eliminating water from beneath the tire's footprint. The result is a safer summer weather performance.
The tread design also provides great controllability. The special ribbed tread design maintains constant road contact, which enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The tire's steering becomes quick and precise in its response to the driver's commands as a result, and its structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The shoulder tread design increases the number of biting edges that grip the road during cornering to ensure a better maneuvering capability. The model's internal structure features the Variable Tension Control technology, which secures the tire and improves its high speed durability and performance by preventing deformation.
The model was manufactured with a ribbed tread design. This increases the road gripping ability, which in turn keeps the tire close to the road surface. In this manner, the tire's rolling resistance is lowered. The rolling resistance is the force affecting the tire that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire's motion. The lessened rolling resistance manages to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the tire more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient.
The Cinturato P1 Plus features an optimized tread pattern. This allows the tire to lengthen its tread life and to lower the road noise heard during the drive. The tread design evenly spreads the driving pressure out across the tread area, which prevents uneven tread wear formations and lengthens the tread life significantly, elongating the tread life and the tire's usability greatly. The optimized tread design also upgrades the comfort levels. It channels the airwaves through the tire's footprint without letting them come into contact with the tread elements, decreasing the road noise levels heard while the tires are in motion.
