The Nitto NT830 is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire offers excellent controllability, even during its high speed performance. The tread design features a minimized groove pattern which enlarges the tire's road contact area. The larger road contact upgrades the model's steering responsiveness and its driving stability. The better structural stability and the faster and more accurate steering response ensures the driver's full control over the vehicle. The durable compound actively prevents heat build-up along the tread area. This enables the tire to perform at its best high speed ability, without losing its traction due to excessive heat. The tread design and the summer tire compound work together to boost the dry and wet weather traction. The summer compound keeps the tire's rubber flexibility under extreme heat (caused by the summer conditions and by the tire's high speed performance) and actively avoid heat build-up along the tread area, preventing the tire from losing its traction during its performance. The tread design, on the other hand, features an optimal pattern of grooves, sipes and tread blocks that maintains the tire's contact with the road surface in dry and wet weather. When driving in rainy situations, the three wide circumferential grooves disperse water from below the footprint and significantly increase the wet weather driving safety.
The model promotes a longer lasting tread life. This is achieved thanks to the combination of the optimal tread design and the durable tire compound. The compound's resistance to heat build-up eases the pressure off the tire and greatly slows the tread wear rate down. The tread design's minimal grooves area, on the other hand, increases the road contact area, enabling the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area.
