The Nexen Winguard Winspike 3 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It has some highway terrain, light truck and commercial van sizes as well. It also has some high performance sizes. This model promotes excellent winter weather traction. The tread design grips ice- and snow-covered road surfaces while also preventing hydroplaning. The tread area is also pinned for studs, to increase winter traction. The tread design and the rubber compound boost traction and increase steering responsiveness and driving stability. These are some of the best snow tires ive ever run for snow and ice tractio, quiet ride. And wear life. Ide be getting a 3rd winter out of them no problem had my rear alignment not gone out with 2000 miles of higway road trip off the mountain. i could still gets a third year but i want maximum tread depth and traction if we get several feet of sierra cement and my wife takes the subaru.
Lots of grip and barely any road noise. I use these tires on the dirt roads of Arkansas because these roads are slick with loose dirt and gravel like ice on asphalt. They work better than murders which I cannot even get for my car. They also last way longer than regular all weather tires. I only have to change them out once a year where as I was buying tires every 8 months or less.
