OVERVIEW
The Nexen N'Priz AH5 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Nexen offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire provides first-rate all weather traction and, thanks to the dual kerf tread design it promotes excellent dry, wet and winter weather traction. The tread design also features four wide circumferential grooves that eliminate water from beneath the tire. This increases the wet weather traction and the hydroplaning resistance, while also maintaining constant road contact even in more severe weather conditions. This enhanced road gripping and water dispersing ability ensure that the tire performs safely all year without any issue.
The special dual kerf tread pattern also offers a longer lasting tread life. The tread block stiffness prevents the tread elements from shifting around during the drive, which slows down the tread wear rate significantly. It also equally distributes the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking across the tread area which eases the driving pressure off of the tire. As the model is under less pressure, which is not focused on one part of the tread area, it slows down the tread wear rate and prevents irregular wear patterns from forming across the tread area. In this manner, the tire does not wear out prematurely and its tread wear is always uniform, which extends its usability and its tread life.
The model is easier and safer to control due to the specialized rigidity of the shoulder tread block design. These tread elements grip onto the road surface and provide additional biting edges in all weather conditions. The better road gripping ability increases the steering responsiveness, the driving stability and the cornering ability. The tire is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it and its steering responsiveness becomes quicker and more precise when it is responding to the driver's instructions. The cornering ability and power are improved as well since the additional road grip boosts the cornering power. As a result, the tire is safer to control all year.
The N'Priz AH5 provides a quiet and smooth driving experience. The rigidity of the shoulder tread design lowers the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin while the tires are in motion. This is achieved as the tread elements do not shift around and do not make road noise. The airwaves are channeled through the tread area without coming into contact with the tread elements, offering a comfortable and enjoyable drive.
