OVERVIEW
The Michelin X Tour A/S T+H is a touring all season tire model manufactured for passenger vehicles. Michelin offers an 80,000 mile treadwear warranty with it.
The tire's excellent all weather traction and dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability are the result of the special siping detail of the IntelliSipe Technology. The tread design's sipes are carefully placed on the tread and are made to firmly grip onto the road surface in all conditions. The better road gripping ability improves the year round safety of the drive and offers better performing capabilities. The circumferential grooves and tread sipes avoid dangerous hydroplaning situations by evacuating water and slush from below the tire footprint, further enhancing the driving security.
The model offers a longer lasting tread life by preventing irregular tread wear patterns from forming across the tread area. The Max Touch Construction was used in the manufacture of the tire which provides an optimized and maximized road contact patch. The better road contact spreads the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking out evenly across the tread area, avoiding uneven wear. The tread wear rate is also slowed down with the reduced rolling resistance. The special tire compound materials and the tread design's improved road gripping ability take the pressure off of the tire and lowers the rolling resistance. The decreased rolling resistance in turn lessens the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, making the tire more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
