OVERVIEW
The Michelin Primacy HP is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Michelin offers a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with the H and T speed rated sizes of this model.
The tire promotes exceptional summer weather traction. The asymmetric tread pattern and the summer weather tire compound ensure a safer dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The tread design features two wide and two narrow circumferential grooves that effectively resist hydroplaning situations by evacuating water away from the tire footprint. While the tire has remarkable dry and wet weather traction, it is not recommended to use it in winter conditions as the compound loses its traction in colder temperatures.
The model is easily controlled in all summer conditions. The tread pattern enhances the high speed handling and controllability. The solid center rib maintains constant road contact which increases the high speed driving stability and steering responsiveness. The larger, interconnecting shoulder tread blocks provide additional biting edges that firmly grip the road surface during cornering and maneuvering. In this manner, the maneuvering ability and power, even at high speeds, ensures a more secure drive that is effortlessly controlled.
The special asymmetric tread pattern lengthens the tread life and the tire's usability. The constant road contact evenly spreads the driving pressure out across the tread area. This equal distribution of the driving pressure prevents irregular wear patterns from forming across the tread area. The extended even tread life increases the tire's usability, making it more cost-efficient.
The Primacy HP offers an excellent high speed performance. The internal structure features twin steel belts and a size optimized BAZ technology, which is a spirally wrapped polyamide that enhances the tire's construction. These prevent the tire from deforming under the high speed driving pressure. As the tire maintains its optimized tire shape, it is capable of performing to its highest capability with ease.
