OVERVIEW

The Michelin Premier A/S is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Michelin offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.

The tire offers excellent all weather traction, including in light snow, thanks to the silica- and sunflower oil-based high traction tread compound. The tire grips the road well in these road conditions as the tread pattern, with its tread blocks and delicate sipe design, provides extra biting edges for driving in snow. The tire also has a superb wet weather traction which enhances as the tire wears out.

Michelin's Evergrip Safety Technology improved the tire's wet traction and wet weather road grip as the tread wears out. The added expanding rain grooves and emerging grooves increase the tire's wet traction and water channeling ability as it wears. The expanding rain grooves by the circumferential ribs expand, while the emerging grooves on the shoulder pattern open up with wear. This offers increased hydroplaning resistance and exceptional wet and winter weather grip, even in its worn out state.

The Total Performance Technology boosts the tire's overall performance. Along with the great all weather grip, it helps it to stop shorter. The traction provided by the special tread compound and the optimized tire footprint help increase the tire's braking power and shorten the braking distance. The Technology also improves the controllability of the model. The steering responsiveness becomes sharper, without sacrificing comfort or safety, and the driver is able to respond to changing road surfaces quickly and with ease.

The tire's reinforced internal structure, with the twin steel belt supports, enhance the tire's durability during high speed driving. The tire maintains it shape even under high driving pressure, making the driving experience safer.

The Premier A/S reduces the road noise heard in the cabin of the vehicle. The Comfort Control Technology ensures uniformity and uses a computer optimized tread pattern to minimize the noise the tread makes. The soundwaves the tire generates are channeled through its footprint, offering a quiet and comfortable drive.
