This model was made with racing in mind, but it increased the tire's performance for everyday use as well. Due to the endurance racing requirements, it has an increased tread life and better summer traction. However, safer driving in deeper water is still recommended to avoid hydroplaning. The Variable Contact Patch 3.0 expanded the contact area while driving which increases the cornering grip of the tire.
