OVERVIEW

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (N0) is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This model is EV compatible. This tire is for the rear axle position.

This tire model is noted with 'N0' as it is the first approved tire to be selected as the original equipment tire of select Porsche vehicles. The model went through numerous tests to be authorized by Porsche for use on their vehicles. It was manufactured to guarantee safety and reliability during high speed driving performance and it's guaranteed to bring out the highest performing capability of the vehicle.

The tire was designed with a special asymmetrical dual zone tread design. The tire's outer shoulder is manufactured from a hybrid tire compound that increases the dry weather performing capability and road gripping ability. The model's center tread area and inner shoulder are made from a silica-based tire compound that promotes wet weather traction. The wet zone also features the wider circumferential tread grooves that channel water away from the tire footprint. In this manner the tire avoids hydroplaning and offers a safer summer weather driving experience. While the tire provides remarkable summer weather traction, it is not suited for winter weather driving as the tire compound loses its road gripping ability in colder temperatures.

A longer lasting tread life is guaranteed. The tread design prevents irregular tread wear patterns from forming across the tread area. This is achieved with the Variable Contact Patch 3.0 that evenly spreads out the driving pressure across the tread. The equal distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking improves the tread wear length and increases the tire's usability. In this manner, the tire is more cost efficient.

The special internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with a spirally wrapped nylon cord that improves the high speed durability. The reinforcement prevents the tire from deforming under the driving pressure affecting it as it maintains its optimal tire shape. As the tire does not deform, it is capable of performing to its highest capability safely. The reinforced structure also balances the tire's tension and strength. The internal strength and tension ensure constant road contact which upgrades the steering responsiveness and accuracy. The tire is quick and precise in its response to the driver's commands and allows them to confidently control the tire in all summer conditions, even at high speeds.

The Pilot Sport 4S (N0) offers a comfortable drive. The single-ply polyester cord casing lowers the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin by maintaining constant contact between the tire and the road. The tire closely follows the road surface, which reduces the road vibrations felt by the passengers, making the driving experience more enjoyable.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
