OVERVIEW
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model is EV compatible.
Excellent summer weather traction is provided with this model. The heat-resistant summer compound and the asymmetric ribbed tread design work together in order to boost their dry and wet weather grip. This model should only be used in summer conditions. Heat build-up is resisted with the durable rubber materials, while road contact boosts traction. Circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning, as they disperse water from the footprint. This further upgrades its wet weather performance.
High speed durability is guaranteed. This tire combines the heat-resistant compound, the Variable Contact Patch 3.0, and reinforced internal structure in order to upgrade its performance. Heat accumulation is resisted, while the road contact also increases its surface contact. The twin steel belt and aramid-nylon belt structure do not allow the tire to deform under high speed pressure. Their combination enables the tire's best performance.
The stabilized asymmetric footprint maintains the tire's surface contact. As a result, the tire is able to upgrade its steering responsiveness and driving stability. The consistent road contact manages to shorten the braking distance, by generating friction when braking. Cornering is boosted with the shoulder block placement, which provides additional biting edges.
The tire features a unique construction. This enables the model to be driven for 50 miles under the speed limit of 50 mph in case air pressure loss occurs. Such a temporary performance offers the driver to find a close location and change the damaged tire. In this manner, the tire offers increased driving safety levels with its limited performance. Run flat tires should not be mounted with the regular tires on the same vehicle.
The Pilot Sport 4S ZP improves its usability. The Variable Contact Patch 3.0 manages to evenly circulate driving pressure along the footprint. This, along with the stronger structure that stabilizes the tire footprint, effectively avoids irregular wear formations. Additionally, the heat-resistant compound minimizes pressure accumulation, resisting premature wear. This combination boosts its overall service life.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
