Michelin LTX Winter
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Winter weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
- Upgraded load durability
OVERVIEW
The Michelin LTX Winter is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for light trucks.
Winter traction is guaranteed with this tire model. The tire utilizes the winter compound and the detailed tread elements upgrade the winter weather, ice and snow traction. The ribbed tread design's high-density siping placement firmly grips the road surface with the use of extra biting edges. On the other hand, the stronger compound elements maintain the rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint. This results in the tire's overall winter weather performing ability.
The tread also greatly improves the controllability. The ribbed tread design ensures a close and consistent surface contact helps to boost the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the tire promotes a quick and precise steering response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder block pattern with the siping placement greatly upgrades the cornering ability, with the use of extra biting edges. The high-density siping placement enhances the braking ability, by generating friction at the moment of braking. These enhancements ensure the driver's better control over the vehicle as well.
The LTX Winter boosts the load durability. The strengthened internal structure does not allow the tire to deform under the load pressure. Light truck tires are manufactured with better load durability, as they need to handle heavier loads with ease. In this manner, the tire manages to enhance the load carrying and withstanding ability. This ensures a heavy-duty load capacity.
