The Kumho Ecsta STX is a performance and high performance (depending on the speed rating of the specific tire size), all season tire manufactured for SUVs, crossover vehicles and light trucks.

Its directional tread pattern and all season tire compound boost the tire's dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability by enhancing the road contact. The special wide groove, water evacuating tread design expels water and slush from below the tire's footprint, preventing dangerous hydroplaning situations. The model's internal structure features the jointless cap construction and high-tensile twin steel belts that are reinforced with two nylon cap plies. The jointless cap construction provides a larger and stable tire footprint. The better footprint improves the tire's steering responsiveness by improving the road contact ratio.
