OVERVIEW

The Kumho Ecsta SPT is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.

The model guarantees excellent summer weather traction. The silica-enhanced tire compound and the special directional tread pattern increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The compound does not keep its flexibility in colder temperatures and the tread design is not able to maintain its road grip on ice and snow, therefore the tire is not meant to be used in winter weather. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves actively prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire's footprint. The result is a safer summer weather performance.

The tire is easily handled. The tread design's center ribs and internal structure work together to ensure a secure driving experience. The three center ribs keep the tire close to the road surface and, along with alternating tread grooves, stabilize the tire's structure against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive. The internal structure's high tensile steel belts maintain the optimized tire shape and prevent deformation, which enhances the steering responsiveness and accuracy. This makes the tire faster and more precise in its response to the driver's instructions and offers better controllability. The tread design's shoulder block sequence manages to upgrade the cornering and maneuvering ability and power. The tread blocks provide additional biting edges that firmly grip the road surface in such conditions to allow the tire to perform to its highest capability.

The tire's internal structure features the aforementioned high tensile twin steel belts and a jointless nylon full cap construction that prevents deformation. They work together to enhance the tire's high speed performing ability by maintaining the tire's optimal shape under the high speed driving pressure. The prevention of deformation makes the tire closely follow the road surface. In this manner, the model decreases the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin while the tires are in motion and guaranteed a comfortable and enjoyable high speed performance.

The Ecsta SPT's sidewall is designed in a manner that it guards and protects the rims from accidental curb damage.
