OVERVIEW
The Hercules Strong Guard HDO is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was designed for drive axles.
This model guarantees great all season traction with the ribbed tread design and the special Gen-H compound. Their combination enables the tire's exceptional dry, wet, and winter traction. This ensures its surface traction as the 3D sipes generate additional biting edges. Special compound elements keep its rubber flexible, optimizing its summer and winter weather applications. The tread's circumferential grooves and open shoulder elements disperse water and slush from the footprint, effectively avoiding hydroplaning.
Exceptional tread life is guaranteed as well. The stable ribbed block placement works with the stronger compound to optimize the treadwear manner. The Gen-H compound reduces the treadwear rate with wear-resistant rubber materials. Better footprint stability allows the tire to avoid uneven wear by circulating driving pressure. The self-cleaning nature of the tread resists stone retention, ejecting rocks stuck between the tread elements. This, along with the compound, protects the tire from various tread and external damage, boosting its service life.
The Strong Guard HDO greatly improves its load durability as well. The reinforced internal structure maintains its ideal tire shape under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform under load and driving pressure, it is able to effectively enhance its overall load-handling capability.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
