The semi-grooves increase the model's bite on snow covered roads, making its use more weather versatile. The two-step graduated grooves and the four wide circumferential grooves in the tread design enhance the water and slush dispersing ability. The tie bar boosts the lateral and circumferential tread stiffness. It prevents the tread elements from shifting around during the drive and, in this manner, it does not generate pattern noise.
