OVERVIEW
The Hankook AL22 SmartTouring is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle in all axle positions.
The tire is easily controlled thanks to its optimal symmetric pattern. The tread's solid center rib maintains the tire's road contact throughout the tire's performance, improving the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The tread's 3D siping detail enhances the braking capability. The tire shortens the braking distance by creating friction between the tire and the road surface and preventing the tread blocks' deformation with this siping pattern.
The model guarantees a secure all weather performance. The symmetric ribbed design, with the wider circumferential grooves, boosts the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The ribbed pattern maintains the tire's close road contact and enhances its grip on the road surface throughout the year with the additional biting edges. The special durable compound, on the other hand, maintains the rubber flexibility in various conditions. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They eliminate water and slush from the footprint and upgrade the tire's grip on the road surface to boost the year round driving safety.
The AL22 SmartTouring ensures a longer lasting tread life. The tread grooves feature special Tread Wear Equalised Steppers that optimize the tread wear rate. They work together to prevent irregular tread wear rate and to avoid the tread's chipping, cracking and tearing throughout the model's performance. This extends the tread life and the tire's usability and actively avoids damage on the tread area to lengthen the service life significantly.
