Goodyear Kmax S GEN-2
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Enhanced controllability
- Improved load durability
- All weather traction
- Longer-lasting tread life
OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Kmax S GEN-2 is a highway terrain, all weather tire made for commercial vehicles. This model is built to be mounted on steer axle positions.
The continuous center rib’s surface contact effectively improves the controllability. The closer road contact upgrades steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. Furthermore, the shoulder tread blocks provide additional biting edges, which grip the road surface. This allows the tire to enhance its cornering and maneuvering ability. This guarantees a safer handling, as the tire ensures a secure performance.
Better structural durability is ensured with the tire’s exceptional load capacity. This model can carry and withstand heavy loads without deformation in the process. This tire can perfectly perform by maintaining optimal shape under pressure. It makes this model a great choice for heavy-duty applications. It has a strong structure that can handle big loads and driving pressure. Since the tire has such a tough structure, it offers excellent load handling as well.
The tire provides true year-round traction. The tire utilizes its stronger compound blend and detailed tread area to achieve this. They work together to enable the tire’s performance in dry, wet, and even harsh winter conditions. The tread’s sipes generate biting edges that boost traction. On the other hand, the compound maintains flexibility throughout the year. Grooves resist hydroplaning by channeling water and slush from the footprint.
The Goodyear Kmax S GEN-2 guarantees a longer-lasting tread life. The ideal tread pattern and the rubber compound resist irregular and premature wear formations along the tread area. This tread ensures even pressure circulation, in order to prevent irregular wear formations, while the rubber compound slows the treadwear rate down. This decreased and even wear leads to the tire’s longer-lasting tread life.
All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
